The Walmart Foundation invests in strategic efforts designed to reduce the harmful impact of plastic waste on the environment, leveraging science and industry to bring about positive change in the three areas of materials innovation, recycling infrastructure, and consumer behavior. This project examined circularity related to plastics and organic materials, including six CAP projects conducted in four cities that are a part of the Mississippi River City and Towns Initiative as well as Atlanta and Athens, GA.
